Children's Ministries
Kingdom Quest: Children ages 2-6th
grade join their classes on a "quest" to know God better at
9am each Sunday. Classes feature high interaction with God's Word and
with friends. Children are challenged to know God's word and apply it
in their daily lives.
The vision of Children's Ministries is to create an environment that
will produce children who:
*Know Christ as their personal savior.
*Are growing in the knowledge and love of God.
*Who are prepared to engage their culture through a Biblical perspective.
*Who are actively exercising their faith. This is evidenced through their
love and concern for others, spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally.
The
opportunities to flesh-out this vision are limitless. The
best thing about ministering to children is that they are so endearing
and at the same time it is "just plain old" FUN!!!! If you enjoy
babies or pre-school age or you would rather interact with elementary
or middle school age--we have a place for YOU. And the great thing is--you
don't need previous experience! All you need is a willing heart, the kids
will love you!
Vacation Bible School:
VBS at Monroe has grown to become a summer event that
is much anticipated by both the children and the adults alike!!! VBS is
a week where approximately 150 kids and 50 adults come together to learn,
play, and worship in a "camp-like" atmosphere. It is our hope
that children will come to know their need for a personal relationship
with Christ and grow to know what it looks like to be Christ-like at home,
at school or with their friends.
AWANA is an outreach ministry
to the children in our surrounding communities. This ministry involves
presenting the Gospel, Bible teaching, application of spiritual truths
, memorizing scriptures and competitive games for developing teamwork
skills and for FUN !
